Hey guys have you read today's Strait Times?
Again topic on environment.
This time is to ban or not to ban Water Bottle
in Singapore
Its stated in the paper S50 cents will give you
1 water bottle or 850 bottles of tap water.
(measurement unclear)
Furthermore water bottle caused 1.5 million
barrels of oil to produce.
While in Singapore most bottles are incinerated
which uses energy and produces carbon dioxide.
As we all know what does CO2 does.
A few years back, report shown the fact of a plastic
bottle's harmful and toxic components are
poisonous for human consumption.
As for my surrounding, almost all my colleagues
use their own bottle for water replenish at work.
Those who buy water bottles could be
people went for party, date which require them
to dress up or the least are students who are too
lazy to bring another item in their bag.
Thus I support a ban in Singapore.
Firstly local water filtration is very clean and much
more safer than other countries.
Secondly, Singaporean are not well inform on the
water bottle production and dispose matters.
I believe it might be true; most people are unaware
of such monetary spending and what will benefit
us if we save such costs.
However how can everyone be inform unless
the govenment sector take up the first step?
Hmm....the paper stated:
'...green groups in Singapore can take up the cause
of public education.'
I mean....if govenment didn't realease their vision and
information that will help in improving the situation,
then there wont be any team work among those
green groups to work towards the same vision.
They wont know that their work are support by govenment
and of course there will also not be any impact on the
programme.
Thirdly I guess Singapore has the cheaper price for
water bottle. I've watched many documentary showing
a few countries having a high retail price on water bottles than
their other natural resources.
What make us a country without natural resources,
not even water source, having
water bottle selling at cheap prices?
On the other hand, I understood the causes behind to above
distorted yet simple logic in 2 different countries. . .
(Well in this stage of generation, habits have to change to
accomodate the ever changing weather condition.)
All along we are promoting our city as Garden City.
Sounds green!
(It really pays off the hard work.)
Are we able to work towards the goal of being
the first Green country to lead the rest of world to live green too?
I think the most realistic movie for our
dear future is 'The day after tomorrow'.
With increasing discussion on environmental
friendly, pollution and consistant unpredictable
weather condition, the movie gives us a little
insight of the earth health.
Not use to living in a cold weather and never
been to a cold country before, I wonder am I
able to survive in that condition.
I feel that we are going back to it's beginning;
like a cycle going back to zero.
Don't you think its quit possible to happen on
what the movie showed?
I heard from somewhere that its the opposit -
tempreature rises until its unbearable for human.
yea and the next big thing is more frequent of
sunami in many parts of the world.
Not only 1 country but throughout the world.
Well....is this the right time to buy winter jacket and goggle now?
:)

NICE ~Saw some review others made & it giggles my heart when i came across this:Cons: Specs are just like any other netbook - you'll want to upgrade to 2GB RAM. Fingerprints...I cannot state this enough. The cover, the touchpad, the palm rest areas, EVERYTHING is so prone to smudgy fingerprints. This bothers the hell out of me, and I've stopped trying to clean them off. If you don't like fingerprints everywhere, don't buy this netbook, because it's glossy as %&$# everywhere. Also, the screen bezel is a bit too thick for my liking. GeneralBrand ASUS
