my parents are so sweet.
i mean wat they've done for me,
not their speech...

They actually brought seperate fruits for
me since they are buying for their religious
purpose. i always find it very thoughful and
sweet whenever my frz's mum did that for her!
so i tried it on my mum, telling her and alomst
seems like complaining. it did not happened
as i wanted on the 1st time, 2nd time..hmm..
its amazingly that they did remembered! Thank God
haha persistence is good!

i really like space, esp working space.
my dad did something which surprised me.
he purposely went to find a rack and put on my
table when he saw my table is in a mess.
Man!! That's AN AMAZING thing happened on my father!!!
No kidding!! haha
Of course i really thank them putting in effort and
being thoughtful. =D

i realised that past few days the thoughts of having
a book shelves may help. YeaHHH it came to pass
even though in different form.

i like to play Blink n Sabotagure then comes monoployn, Apple 2 Apple.
cass recommended all the games and are all fun. She's the best,
half way games guide explanining she cut his word and almost wanted to
start playing. HAHAHA

this time round another games guide was preparing to introduce the game,
mishell started her unique laugher!!!!
HAHAHA my position can clearly see his '=C ' face. and everyone started
laughing

Untangling Life's Knots


It's your best friend's wedding. "I'll take care of the reception," you'd volunteered. You planned the best party possible. You hired the band, rented the hall, catered the meal, decorated the room, and asked your Aunt Bertha to bake the cake.

Now the band is playing and the guests are milling, but Aunt Bertha is nowhere to be seen. Everything is here but the cake. You sneak over to the pay phone and dial her number. She's been taking a nap. She thought the wedding was next week.

Oh boy! Now what do you do? Talk about a problem! Everything is here but the cake ...

Sound familiar?

It might. It's exactly the dilemma Jesus' mother, Mary, was facing. Back then, wine was to a wedding what cake is to a wedding today.

What Mary faced was a social problem. No need to call 911, but no way to sweep the embarrassment under the rug, either.

When you think about it, most of the problems we face are of the same caliber. We're late for a meeting. We leave something at the office. A coworker forgets a report. Mail gets lost. Traffic gets snarled. The waves rocking our lives are not life threatening yet. But they can be. A poor response to a simple problem can light a fuse.

For that reason you might want to note how Mary reacted. Her solution poses a practical plan for untangling life's knots. "They have no more wine," she told Jesus (John 2:3). That's it. That's all she said. She didn't go ballistic. She simply assessed the problem and gave it to Christ.

It's so easy to focus on everything but the solution. Mary didn't do that. She simply looked at the knot, assessed it, and took it to the right person. "I've got one here I can't untie, Jesus."

"When all the wine was gone Jesus' mother said to him, 'They have no more wine'" (John 2:3).

Please note, she took the problem to Jesus before she took it to anyone else. A friend told me about a tense deacons' meeting he attended. Apparently there was more agitation than agreement, and after a lengthy discussion, someone suggested, "Why don't we pray about it?" to which another questioned, "Has it come to that?"

What causes us to think of prayer as the last option rather than the first?

Yea this time round i've watched Memoirs Of A Geisha, 2005.

wats a Geisha?
Geisha are traditional, female Japanese entertainers, whose skills include performing various Japanese arts, such as classical music and dance. Contrary to popular opinion and Western stereotypes, geisha are not prostitutes.
Geisha are often hired to attend parties and gatherings, traditionally at tea houses (茶屋, ochaya) or at traditional Japanese restaurants (ryōtei).



After the movie, there was a more clearer view of the culture of Japan in the 18th
century.

During the Edo period, prostitution was legal and prostitutes such as the oiran were licensed by the government. By contrast, geisha were strictly forbidden from holding a prostitution license, and were officially forbidden to ever have sex with their customers.

In the movie, perhaps is a true story...all Geisha are restricted to live according
how they want. How a girl was sold to the geisha house is not common till this modern days but what fancy me is how does a geisha lives and the process in becoming a professional(maiko).

Basically their make up appears "out of the space" fashion when i saw it.
The white makeup covers the face, neck, and chest, with two or three unwhitened areas (forming a "W" or "V" shape) left on the nape, to accentuate this traditionally erotic area, and a line of bare skin around the hairline, which creates the illusion of a mask.
"....i don thk so...." Slowly as the lead grew older, i was puzzled why she no longer applied a heavy make up?
The reason for this is that she has now become mature, and the simpler style shows her own natural beauty.
"....mmm now i know..."

A maiko wears red with white printed patterns. The junior maiko's collar is predominantly red with white, silver, or gold embroidery. Two to three years into her apprenticeship, the red collar will be entirely embroidered in white (when viewed from the front) to show her seniority. Around age 20, her collar will turn from red to white.





Geisha wear a flat-soled sandal, zori, outdoors, and wear only tabi (white split-toed socks) indoors. In inclement weather geisha wear raised wooden clogs, called geta. Maiko wear a special wooden clog known as okobo.
Man wasn't the trend many years ago when japanese was so keen in wearing similar as clog? N i do see some in Singapore on my way to school, early in the morning haha

Why do i say i believe the statement earlier on..is because whether or not every Geisha is willing to be one, eventually the one who started this business wanted to preserve the origin culture. =)

i managed to find good-looking geisha besides those "well-fed" ones...you know..some times ago...woman are prefered to be fatter. =P haha



However based on the movie storyline..i find it absurd. How did a girl about 9 years old possibly fall in love with a going 30s old man? Gratitude of heart turned into love? ...absolutely i do not understand. anyway beside that the movie is simply Great, Interesting. =)
There is this little girl, Suzuka Ohgo, acted as little chiyo. She has a nice smile.
The movie is able to portrayed a real life of Geisha; the credits goes to Liza Dalby.

She is the only foreigner to have become a Geisha. In conducting an ethnographic study for her postgraduate work she became a Geisha for a period of a year, her youth delved in Japanese culture and art became a rich asset as doors opened for her that would for no other Western woman. The culmination of her research is this book, based on her experiences in the Pontocho district. This gives a realistic idea of the daily life of a Geisha, with some history and understanding given to the traditions, along with some delightful anecdotes that could only come from one so steeped in Geisha culture.
Do Geisha in this modern days earned as much back in 19 century? How do they feel being a Geisha?

I’ve sprained my neck on the second day morning of Festival of Praise. Not a good day to start with and worse thing happened, shall not elaborate further and my mood went all the way down…the pain was so bad that I could not lift up and turn or tilt my head. It’s killing me and borders me the whole day. However my day became brighter when I decided to go for FOP. During the Praise & worship, when Delirious? encouraged everyone to lift up the Offering of Praise suddenly my mind have a breakthrough. “Offering to God” appeared as a sacrifice. Sacrifice is a huge word to carry out…so I heck care…what is praising God without sacrifice? Haha so I thought wanna crazy? Be crazy for God.

I’ve experienced the healing in Praise! Amen. Yes, there’s healing in God’s presence. I can truly feel that my neck is not that tense and I was able to turn my head and lift up. The pain is still here though. God is good, All the time. The healing process continued on till Sunday end of FOP. Praise the Lord. I was 99% healed by now. :D

FOP is really really worth going. Pst Phil was awesome, Delirious? and Don Moen was awesome tooo. God spoke to me on the second night when Pst said, ‘Live by the word, not by your feeling towards the Bible.” I remembered a friend of mine said to me that our feeling is not reliable, it will be shaken. Once we are caught by it, somehow we will loss control of ourselves. Pst Phil obedience is so simple but yet so strong.

Through Delirious? I heard God speaking to me, it’s time continue to walk to walk to walk.
Walk though the tall grass, I‘ll see the bright Sun in front of me. The Sun is waiting…

I wanna thank David, Ben. Specially went to visit me. Thank You for sacrificing your time and effort. It really makes a difference. =)

Aging is God’s idea. It’s one of the ways he keeps us headed homeward. We can’t change the process, but we can change our attitude. Here is a thought. What if we looked at the aging body as we look at the growth of a tulip?

Do you ever see anyone mourning over the passing of the tulip bulb? Do gardeners weep as the bulb begins to weaken? Of course not. We don’t purchase tulip girdles or petal wrinkle cream or consult plastic-leaf surgeons. We don’t mourn the passing of the bulb; we celebrate it. Could it be heaven does the same? The angels point to our bodies. The more frail we become, the more excited they become. “Watch that lady in the hospital,” they say. “She’s about to blossom.” “Keep an eye on the fellow with the bad heart. He’ll be coming home soon.”

“We are waiting for God to finish making us his own children, which means our bodies will be made free” (Rom. 8:23).

Are our bodies now free? No. Paul describes them as our “earthy bodies” (Phil. 3:21 MSG). Or as other translations state:

“our lowly body” (NKJV)
“the body of our humble state” (NASB)
“these weak mortal bodies” (NLT)
“our vile body” (KJV)
“our simple bodies” (NCV)

You could add your own adjective, couldn’t you? Which word describes your body? My cancerous body? My arthritic body? My deformed body? My crippled body? My addicted body? My ever-expanding body? The word may be different, but the message is the same: These bodies are weak. They began decaying the minute we began breathing.

And, according to God, that’s a part of the plan. Every wrinkle and every needle take us one step closer to the last step when Jesus will change our simple bodies into forever bodies. No pain. No depression. No sickness. No end.

This is not our forever house. It will serve for the time being. But there is nothing like the moment we enter his door.

A 2002 Produciton by Steven Spielberg.

The story protrayed a true story of a real fake- Frank Abagnale Jr.
DO you like to be a Pilot, Lawyer, Doctor all at the same time?
Impossible? Think again after watching this movie.

In the 60's Frank uses names & fake cheque to cash out money from different
banks. He successfully run away as those cheques needs 3 weeks to bounce.
Thus for 6 whole years, using same method, posing differnt vocations, he had
$1.3 millions with him.

Guess how old is he when he just started?

Only 16!! Smart guy.

Frank eventually got caught and sentenced to jail but he has a great guidance
-Carl. Carl appiled to the judge stating Frank is a genius to work for FBI.
True enough Frank accomplishment does not stop by tracking down forgers but also
design secure cheques for more than 500 companies till now.

In the DVD, the 50 years old plus Franke Abagnale Jr. was asked what's the greatest thing happened in his life.
I like his reply, he says is how his life has transformed from a juvillance
to where he is now. Not those moment where he is able to travel for free as
a pilot or earned money as a lawyer or doctor.
